As a chiropractor, Dr. Wheeler treats the structural and functional relationship between the joints, muscles, and nerves.  He treats numerous chiropractic related problems, including but not limited to:

  • Back pain
  • Neck pain
  • Headaches
  • Pain in joints of the extremities
  • Stiffness/loss of range of motion
  • Sciatica
  • Numbness and tingling
  • Sprains/strains
  • Muscle tightness/spasm
  • Sports injuries
  • Carpal tunnel syndrome
  • TMJ

Treatment options include chiropractic adjustments, therapeutic modalities (such as ice, electrical stimulation and intersegmental traction), active and passive exercise programs, rehabilitation, and lifestyle modifications such as advice on diet and nutritional supplementation.  If you are considered a candidate for chiropractic care, your care plan will be determined by several factors and will be tailored to your specific condition.

What is a Chiropractic Adjustment, and can it help me?

A chiropractic adjustment is a gentle, low-force technique used to introduce movement into hypo-mobile or “locked” joints.  Hypo-mobile joints cause excessive strain on surrounding joints because they must compensate for the lost movement.

Once joints are asked to work harder and compensate for the hypo-mobile/”locked” joints, the excessive strain can result in inflammation (which is the body’s natural response as part of the healing process).  Not only does inflammation cause pain, but chronic, long-standing inflammation can inevitably result in the formation of scar tissue, further inhibiting and damaging the joint.   This cycle often results in pain, muscle spasm, and nerve irritation, all of which may have stemmed simply from the loss of motion of a single joint.

At Robins Chiropractic Clinic, we are humbled to serve the community by providing the highest quality chiropractic care.  You have a choice in your healthcare, and we encourage you to explore our natural, drug-free methods of improving your quality of life.
